Photoshop Tutorial: How to Create a Space Girl Photo Manipulation

Start working by opening in Adobe Photoshop CS4 a space photo like this one:

In today’s tutorial I will show you how to create a space photo manipulation by mixing stars and different Photoshop techniques. Layered PSD file included. Let’s get started!

Find a stock photo with a model represented on it, I used this photo from deviantart. I would like to thank the author of this photo:

Remove the background using your favorite tools like Pen Tool (P), Magic Wand Tool (W), Magnetic Lasso (L) or even a simple Filter>Extract and insert the image on a new layer in our main document.

Click on Add a layer style icon from bottom part of the Layers panel and select Inner Glow

We’ve got the next inner glow effect around girl:

Click now on the bottom part of the Layers panel on Add layer mask icon and choose after that the Soft Round brush of black color (Opacity 15%)

Using Soft Round brush paint on the mask to hide the girl’s legs as shown:

Create a new layer and select for it a Soft Round brush of yellow color (Opacity 10%) to paint the layer:

Set Blending mode for this layer to Saturation

Hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) and click between the layers of the yellow brush and the layer containing the girl (on the Layers panel) to create a clipping mask

Now we have the content of the layer containing the yellow color only visible within the content of the layer containing the girl

Create a new layer and select the Soft Round brush with #0000FF color (Opacity20%).

Paint the background as shown and place this layer under the layer with the girl on it:

On the next new layer we’ll apply the above used brush to continue painting the background with the color #00B4F6 (Opacity20%). This layer will be situated under the girl’s layer:

Create a new layer and apply here the Soft Round brush to paint the bottom part of the picture with violet color (Opacity 20%)

Set the Blending mode to Screen for this layer

Use again the Soft Round brush and paint with blue color on background. This layer will be situated under the layer containing the girl:

Next there will be used again the soft brush with green color this time and Opacity – 20%.

Create a new layer and apply on it the Soft Round brush to paint on the background as shown.

The brush’s color is yellow (Opacity 15%). Place this layer under the girl’s layer.

Set the Blending mode for this layer to Overlay

On the next new layer we’ll use the Soft Round brush of white color (Opacity 20%) to represent several lines, like those from below. This layer needs to be situated under the girl’s layer:

Set the Blending mode to Overlay for this layer

Let’s create the next new layer and apply on it the same soft brush of white color (Opacity 15%) to make lighter the girl’s body. This layer needs to be placed lower than the girl’s layer:

Next we’ll make the girl’s arm look more illuminated. In this case we’ll create a new layer and use here the Soft Round brush

Paint firstly with red color (Opacity 15%) the necessary element and then use the color #FDCD9E

Click now on the bottom part of the Layers panel on Add layer mask icon and choose after that the Soft Round brush of black color

Paint on the mask to hide the illuminated part just to have visible the girl’s hand.

Next we need to combine in a group all the earlier created layers (press CTRL button to select the necessary layers and then hold on the left mouse’s button while dragging the selected layers on Create a new group icon from bottom part of the Layers panel).
Next we’ll represent several rectangles above the girl’s figure, applying in this case the Rectangle Tool (U). The lines will be turned over with the Free Transform (Ctrl+T) command.

Set the Fill to 12% for this layer and change the Blending mode to Linear Dodge. Click on Add a layer style icon from bottom part of the Layers panel to select Inner Shadow

Set the Stroke

We’ve got the next effect on the rectangle:

Make two copies of the layer with the rectangle. Choose Free Transform (Ctrl+T) command to place the copies the same way indicated below. Set a different Fill parameter on the copies’ layers.

Next we’ll represent the fracture of the girl’s image. In this case make the girl’s layer active in Layer panel, press CTRL button and click on the layer containing the rectangle. We’ve got a selection.

Choose after that the Move Tool (V), click and move the selection with arrows keys to get the same position as in the picture below. This operation needs to be done for each rectangle.

Make a copy of the fractured layers and choose for these layers the next filter - Filter>Blur>Gaussian blur. Remove preliminarily the Inner Glow effect from Layer Style.

We’ve got the next blur:

Set the Opacity to 38% for these layers:

Now we need to create a new layer and choose a Soft Round brush to represent the small stars. We need to customize our brush in Brushes panel (F5), select the Brush Tip Shape. Click and drag any of the sliders to change the Diameter and brush Spacing as show. The Preview window displays the changed brushstroke.

Go to Shape Dynamics:

Also change the Scattering settings:

Using customized brush represent the small stars.

Set the Blending mode to Overlay for this layer

Create a new layer and select a Soft Round brush of black color (Opacity 80%)

Paint using soft brush the picture’s edges:

On the next new layer we’ll apply the earlier customized brush of white color to insert more stars:

Set the Blending mode to Overlay for this layer

Select Create new fill or adjustment layer from bottom part of the Layers panel and click to Hue/Saturation.

Drag the slider to the right to increase the Saturation of the color range.

Click again Create new fill or adjustment layer from bottom part of the Layers panel and select Curves to adjust the curve shape as shown to make a little color corrections.

Finished!

Photoshop Tutorial: Cool earth effect

In this tutorial you will learn how to make an effect by using Filter Tools and Layer Style the only special Tool is Brush Tool which I used to inform in my previouse tutorials. In this tutorial as well some of the tchniques I used I took from other tutorial so I recaped it and make you easy to understand which I recommand you to read this tutorial one by one step.

Step 1: make a black background size 10cm x 10cm res: 72.

Step 2: make brush preset. Press short cut (M) to draw a a line and create a new layer fill in gray color. Go to Edit menu choose Define Brush Preset... do like this is to make a brush by your own style. Name your new brush and go for setting. See image below

Step 3: Brush setting. In Brush Preset choose your brush and go to Sharpe Dynamics adjust the size to 50%. Ticket the Scattering choose scatter 365% and go to Color Dynamics set all in 50%

After that create a new layer and start brush it as seen.

Once you are ready then go to Filter menu => Blur => Motion Blur in the option box set as 90 for Angle and 155pixels for Distance.

here we have after motion blur.

Step 4: use this image to make the earth effect. you also can download it here (http://ieslaroda-bilingue.wikispaces.com/file/view/blue-planet-earth.jpg/98707105/blue-planet-earth.jpg). Then tag it to our work and rotate as seen.

use Elliptical Marquee Tool draw a rounded and move to buttom of our work document. Then inverse this selection and delete the rest of earth.

and now reload selection this earth layer by go to edit menu => load selection. Hide the earth layer and delate the brush layer in our selection area. Press Ctrl + D to unselect and use the Eraser Tool to erase part of prush layer.

Remember after select the Eraser Tool in the properties box above there choose a small blur one and reduce the opacity to 50% and start erase the brush.

Step 5: applying Gradient Overlay to this brush. Use normal Blend Mode but your Gradient must be in multi color. I choose Red, Yellow, Blue and Black.

Step 6: unhide your world layer and apply layer style. Now firstly apply Inner Glow in the Blend Mode go to Hard Mix and opacity 75% in red color then size is fully 250 px.

Agian in the same box apply Outer Glow. Blend mode Color Dodge. Opacity is 75% size only 87 px.

Here result.

Step 7: this should be last step to complete this tutorial. Create a new layer as seen below fill in black and go to Filter menu => Render => lens Flare. In this Lense option box adjust the brightness to 100 and choose the lens type 50-30mm Zoom. In the Layer Blend Mode make it as Screen. Finally go to Image menu => Adjustment => Lavel and adust as Channel => RGB Inputs Levels => 25 1.00 255.

Finall Result: there are lots of ways to create this effect, and lots of good tutorials showing how to create that type of brush tools, Filter or layer style. But this tutorial is another new way to make a new style and I hope you enjoy it.

Photoshop Tutorial: How to create vector magic hat

I don't know much a bout it in Illustrator. Most of people who can design sure they will draw this in Illustrator. But I hope this tutorial could bring you new thing with Photoshop. No need to talk much about this. let start now.

Create a new document size: 1179 pixels x 1179 pixels and solution 300 pixels. As what I have told before I like to use big solution because it can help to make my image more clear.

After a new layer has created give a Gradient Style like below.

use your pen tool to draw a hat or if you like your own hat please do it. It can save your time too. After you draw create new layer then fill color what ever you like and give some style like Bevel and Emboss

* style: Inner Bevel

* Technique: smooth

* Dept: 71%

* Size: 6%

* Soften: 6%

And add Gradient like image. I hope you can read the image.

Then here it is

Press U select Elepse Tool to draw a cycle and give some style like the old one just now I did.

It should look like this after I had edit my style. I copied old layer style to this one. If you like you can do that by right click on that layer select copy layer style and past the layer you want. That's it.

Then copy that cycle layer by press Clt + J to make a new layer and transform it smaller put it on the top and edit the Gradient style. See image.

Now we got a black hat. Again use your pen tool to draw a small bat and copy your layer style.

And draw the 3 red cycle note. I think it won't hard to do that. I know you can because you know well about Photoshop.

Type text as vector magic and make it as a phrase then vertical . Go to filter choose distort and shear

hear the result after shear.

Duplicate this shear layer in to 2 and reflex it then give some outer glow.

* Blend mode: color dodge

* Opacity: 83%

* Technique: softer

* Size: 24

merge that together and duplicate again but this time give it a black color no outer glow and opacity only 30% make it small or bigger a bit to become a shadow.

new thing, draw some thing which is along the vector magic way and give some style.

Out glow

* Bleng mode: screen

* Opecity: 100%

* Color: white

* Technique: softer

* Size: 84

Color Overlay

* Blend mode: normal color is the same or similar to the vector magic phrass

* Opecity: 39

Then you will have you drawing like this image.

Move it into vector way. Then the color will appear.

Make some light by giving the same layer style at around that light as seen in image.

Copy and pass it around inside the hat. then your shine light will give a cool effect.

How do you feel now. It is almost finish. Add some brush light on it. Press B and go to brush setting. Set as the same or what you like.

Start brush now and you will have.

The final just make a black shadow on below all the layer. Here we got the result.

PART 5 (FINAL)

Defining the Clickable Area

The last frame, labeled "Hit" is special. It is simply used to specify the area that triggers mouse-events.
If you leave this frame blank - then mouse events will be triggered when the mouse moves over the visible button.
But if you draw an area that is bigger than the button - then the mouse event will occur as soon as the mouse gets even close to the button. On the contrary you can draw an area that is smaller than the button, so that mouse events are only triggered when the mouse is at the center of your button.

However, the real power of the "Hit" frame is a bit more sophisticated.
If you draw something in the hit area that is outside the area covered by the visible button - then the button will react to mouse-events in the Hit area. That means that you can make something happen on one part of the screen when the user moves the mouse over another part of the screen.

Adding Actions to the Button

The button we created so far is still in the Button object editor. We still haven't dragged it onto our main movie.
If you look above the timeline you see two Icons labeled "Scene 1" and "mybutton".

1: Click the "Scene 1"-icon to return to the main movie.

2: Click on the button in the Library window and drag it onto the movie.

If your Library is not visible choose Window->Library (or press Ctrl-L) to make it visible.

3: Once the button have been placed correct in your movie right click on it and choose "Properties" in the menu that appears.
An Instance menu appears.

4: Select "Actions"

5: Click the plus Icon and select the "OnMouseEvent" option.

6: Select "Release" in the list of event triggers.

The action now says:

On (Release)
End On

This means that we have told Flash that it should react on a mouse-click release event.
But we still haven't told what should happen when the event is detected.
We have several options available. The most important ones are listed below:

Jump to another Frame
Click the plus once more and select the "Go To" option.
Now, the action says:

On (Release)
Go to and Stop (1)
End On

Eventually use the options to specify the frame you want to jump.
If you don't want the movie to stop, once the jump has been made, you should select the Go to and Play option at the bottom.

If, say, you entered frame 20 and selected the Go to and Play option, the action would be:

On (Release)
Go to and Play (20)
End On

And the Instance menu would look like this:

Load another page
Instead of jumping to another frame you could make the button work as a normal hyperlink.
Click the plus and select the "Get URL" option.
Now the action says:

On (Release)
Get URL ("")
End On

If you enter http://echoecho.com in the URL field the action looks like this:

On (Release)
Get URL ("http://echoecho.com")
End On

Controlling Windows to Load URL

You can control which window the URL should be loaded into.
In the Window filed you have four options:

_self : Opens the URL in the current window. (Same as if you did not specify any window)
_blank : Opens the URL in a new window.
_parent : Opens the URL in the parent frame (only works with framesets).
_top : Opens the page in the current window - if it's a frameset all frames are cancelled.

This action would open echoecho.com in a new window:

On (Release)
Get URL ("http://echoecho.com", window="_blank")
End On

PASSING VARIABLES TO THE URL THAT IS LOADED

The last option, "Variables" allows you to pass variables from the flash movie to programs running on the server.
If you choose either "Send using GET" or "Send using POST" Flash will open the specified URL as if it was requested by a form-submission. We will not cover the subject further here, since it really belongs to the more advanced tutorial on Flash programming.

When you're familiar with the simple buttons explained on this page you are ready to proceed to the more advanced buttons that are based on Movie clips.
The following two pages will explain the powerful techniques behind these buttons.

Advanced Buttons

CREATING ANIMATED BUTTONS
A button like the one you see above can be created by simply inserting a movie-clip in the "over"-frame of your button-symbol.

That is:
1: Create a normal movie-clip that does whatever you want to happen when a mouse over is detected on the button.

2: Create a normal button symbol (explained on the previous page).

3: Insert a keyframe in the "over" frame of your button, and place the animated movie-clip in this frame.

This will cause the animation to start when a mouse over is detected and disappear again when a mouse out is detected.

The problem with this type of button is that it lacks "intelligence". The animation disappear in the middle of a sequence as soon as the mouse-out event is detected.

Look at the button below instead:

CREATING TELL TARGET BUTTONS

The advanced button will finish the loop cycle before stopping the animation.

The trick is this:

1: Draw a button graphic.

2: Create a button symbol using the button graphic.

3: Use the exact same button graphic to create a movie-clip.

4: In the movie-clip: Create whatever animation you want for the button.

Now you have a button-symbol with the fixed button in it AND a movie-clip with the entire mouse-over-animation in it.

5: Place the button-symbol in your movie.

6: Add this action to the button:

On (Roll Over)
If (dummy=0)
Begin Tell Target ("/animation")
Play
End Tell Target
End If
Set Variable: "dummy" = 1
End On

On (Roll Out)
Set Variable: "dummy" = 0
End On

The action detects a Roll Over and a Roll Out:

When a Roll Over is detected:
- it tells the movie-clip to start playing (The movie-clip plays the animation we want when a Mouse Over is detected.). At the same time it sets a variable named "dummy" to the value of 1.

When a Roll Out is detected:
- the variable named "dummy" is set to the value of 0. Nothing else happens here - and THAT is the trick in all this.

The movie-clip simply continues to play after the Mouse Out is detected - and that is exactly what we wanted. When the movie-clip finishes an animation cycle it will be at the last frame of the movie-clip, and this is where the "dummy" variable comes into the picture.

In the last frame of the movie-clip we have this action:

If (/:dummy=1)
Go to and Play (2)
Else
Go to and Stop (1)
End If

This means that the movie-clip is using the "dummy" variable to determine whether it should continue (Go to and Play (2)) or it should stop (Go to and Stop (1)).

To summarize:

1: We have a Button symbol that we use to detect for Roll Over and Roll Out.

2: On top of this button we have a Movie-clip symbol that actually plays the animation we want when a Roll Over occurs.

3: When a Roll Over is detected on our Button symbol we tell the Movie-clip Symbol to start playing. At the same time we set a variable called "dummy" to a value of 1.

4: The movie-clip will play the entire loop, and when it reaches the last frame it will check the current value of the "dummy" variable. If it is 1 it simply repeats the loop again from frame 2. If it is zero it goes to frame 1 and stops.

5: When a Roll Out is detected the "dummy" variable is set to zero which will cause the Movie-clip symbol to stop next time it completes a loop.

Now that the technique behind Tell Target Buttons is in place we just need two tiny comments to it:

First:
We need to add a Stop action to the first frame of the Movie-clip symbol - otherwise the movie-clip will start looping as soon as it is loaded - rather than stop and wait for a Roll Over event.

Second:
The Movie-clip symbol must be given an instance name.
Instance names are entered in the "Properties" dialogue box for your clip.

If you look at the action that we added to the button, you will notice this line:

Begin Tell Target ("/animation")

"animation" is the instance name of our Movie-clip.

The reason that Flash requires instance names for movie-clips is that the same Movie-clip symbol could easily be used in several places at the same time.

For example you could create a movie clip that animated a ball jumping up and down. This movie-clip could easily be inserted twice so that you had a ball jumping both at the left and right side of the movie. If you did not add a unique name to each of these two clips it would be impossible for flash to know which one you wanted to control when referring to the movie-clip.

The technique for Tell Target buttons is fairly complex compared to the technique behind simple buttons.

Fortunately, it sounds a lot more complex than it actually is - which you will realize when you get your first Tell target button running.

Flash Tweenings :

INTRODUCTION

The term "Tweening" is derived from "in between". Sometimes you want to add an effect that is graduated over several frames. For example, moving a car from the left side of the movie to the right side. Instead of moving the car a little bit on each frame, you can simply:

position the car on the first frame,
then insert a keyframe where the car should stop
and finally tell Flash to tween between the two key-frames.

Tweening simply means going from one keyframe to another while taking small steps for each of the ordinary frames in between.

Motion Guide Tween

Do the following to make a Motion Guide Tweening.

1. To insert 30 frames in your movie with the mouse:
Click frame 30 in layer 1 on the timeline - then press F5.

2. Now you need to find the element you want to tween.
( It can be any element you like ) .

Choose Libraries > Graphics in the menu.
Library - Graphics opens.
Find Bird and with the mouse, drag it into the canvas.

Use the scale tool in the toolbox, to resize the bird as you like.
(If your version of Flash does not contain "bird", then just use any other symbol).

3. Now enter a keyframe in frame 30. To do this, first click
frame 30 in layer one on the timeline. Then press F6.

4. Next, double click the keyframe in frame 1.
A frame Properties Box pops up.
Choose "Tweening", and in the Tweening drop-down menu choose "Motion".

Click OK

5. Right click on Layer 1.
A pop-up menu appears.
Choose Add Motion Guide.

Flash now inserts a new layer on top of layer 1,
with the Motion Guide icon to the left of the layer's name.

This new layer is called a motion guide layer.
Motion guide layers are used to draw lines that you want an animated symbol to follow.

6. Click on the Motion Guide Layer to make sure it is the active layer.
(Click on the layer name, where it says "Guide: Layer 1").

Choose pencil in the toolbox. (Or press P on the keyboard)
Make sure pencil mode is set to "Smooth".

With the pencil draw the line you want the bird to fly along.

For example like this:

(Hint: Do not make complex patterns until you're familiar with the technique).

7. Now adjust the frame pointer so it points to frame 1.

Make sure the Snap button is activated (or choose
View > Snap in the menu, to activate snapping).

8. With the mouse, place the bird so that its center is at the beginning of your motion guide.
(The center is indicated by a small + when selected).
A black circle appears when the bird is attached to the motion guide.
It can sometimes be hard to get the symbol to snap to the guide. Eventually it will though :o)
Try zooming in or out if you just can't get the bird to snap to the guide.
Release the mouse button when the bird is snapped to the guide.

Now adjust the frame pointer so that it points at frame 30. Repeat the process
placing the bird at the end of the motion guide.

Congrats! You have just created .... (drumrolls)...... a Motion Guide Tweening!

The bird will now follow the motion guide when you play the movie.

Press Ctrl+Enter to test your movie.

Orient to path direction.

If say, your motion guide was a circle, you would have the bird fly in a thrilling loop.
However it would look kind of odd, since the bird would only follow the circle, but not
actually point the nose in the direction of the circle.
During the entire loop the bird would have its head pointing to the right :o)
Eventually the bird would fly backwards. Quite a thrill maybe... but .. not too realistic :o)

If you want the bird to actually follow the circle, not only in movement, but also in direction,
you should double click the keyframe in frame 1 on layer 1.
This will reopen the frame properties box.
Choose the "tweening" option.
Select the "Orient to path direction" option, and click ok.

CONCLUSION:

You now have the basic skills of a Flash master. But remember: You don't create great Flash animations by bombarding your users with each and every one of these skills all at once. Stellar Flash animations come from the elegant implementation of the right features. Many of the movies at Animation Express use only the most basic Flash techniques to showcase exceptional content. In fact, additional buttons and complex actions would only spoil many of these works. When sophisticated interactivity is indicated, go ahead and utilize every feature in your arsenal, but make sure you do so with a light touch. This is something that comes only with practice. PART 4 Eye Dropper Tool

You can use the Eye Dropper tool to copy fill and stroke attributes from objects.

To use the Eyedropper tool:

1. Select the Eye Dropper tool and click the object whose attributes you want to copy. (When you click a stroke, the tool automatically changes to the Ink Bottle tool. When you click a filled area, the tool automatically changes to the Paint Bucket tool)

2. Click the object that you want to apply the new attributes to.
Using the Eyedropper tool to select a bitmap fill:

Rather than painting with a fixed color or gradient you can paint using a bitmap image. A very important special use of the eyedropper tool is to select bitmap fills.

1. Place a bitmap image on the stage. Either drag it from your symbol library (Ctrl+L or Window > Library) or import a bitmap image from a file (Ctrl+R or File > Import).
2. Make sure the imported bitmap is selected. (If not: click on it with the Arrow tool).
3. Press Ctrl+B to break apart the image.
4. Select the Eye Dropper tool and click on the image.

You will now see a miniature of your image in the Color Fill tool box. Use the Paint Bucket tool to apply the bitmap fill to an object. (Note: you can apply the fill to any filled object as well as any closed outlined area.)

Pen Tool:

The Pen tool is the only tool in the Flash toolbox that doesn't resemble a tool from everyday life. Although the tool symbol looks a lot like an ordinary pen it works quite a bit different.

The purpose of the Pen tool is to allow you to draw precise paths as straight lines or smooth, flowing curves.

You can create straight or curved line segments and adjust the angle and length of straight segments and the slope of curved segments afterwards.

There are two methods for drawing with the Pen tool:

1. Click to create points on straight line segments
2. Click and drag to create points on curved line segments.

Each method is described below.

To draw straight lines with the Pen tool:

1. Select the Pen tool.
2. Click on the stage to set points, and watch how Flash automatically connects points as you set them.

3. To complete the path leaving it as either an open or closed shape. Do one of the following:
3a. To complete an open path, double click the last point or click the Pen tool in the toolbox, or Control-click (Windows) or Command-click (Macintosh) anywhere away from the path.
3b. To close a path, position the Pen tool over the first anchor point. A small circle appears next to the pen tip when it is positioned correctly. Click to close the path, and watch how Flash automatic adds a fill once the path becomes a closed outline.

To draw curves with the Pen tool:

First look at this 4 step example:

1. Select the pen tool and click twice to create a straight line - on the second click keep the mouse button down.
2. Drag the mouse towards yourself - which will cause the control line to appear. The control line is pulled in the one end and has a drag point in the other end.
3. Move the mouse from side to side (B) and forward and down (A)- still holding down the button, and see how the drag point moves accordingly.
The drag point defines both how much and in which direction the initial straight line is dragged.
4. When the curve on the initial straight line is shaped the way you want it release the mouse button, and the end result appears while the control line disappears.

Flash Buttons:

INTRODUCTION

he only object type in Flash, that can detect mouse events is the Button object.

This means that there is only one way to make buttons with Flash: Creating a button object.

This may sound a bit too simplified, but many are confused by the techniques behind the more sophisticated buttons, that we will cover later in this tutorial.

Creating a button that changes upon mouseover-events is extremely simple. All you really have to do is to tell Flash how you want the button to look 1) in normal state, 2) when the mouse moves over the button and 3) when the user clicks the button.

Once you've learned this 3-step technique you can create buttons in seconds.

However, the buttons you create this way are: simple (that's why they're so easy to make anyway).

If you want to create really fancy buttons you should use a slightly different technique based on movie clips.

The Three Different Object Types

Flash handles three types of objects:

Graphics
Buttons
Movieclips

Graphics objects

You probably already noticed that when you edit Graphics objects you have the entire timeline available for it. This means that Graphics objects aren't limited to static elements. You can easily create looping animations - simply by creating Graphic objects that uses more than one frame in the timeline.

Button objects

Buttons are different from this. When you create a Button object you only have four frames in the timeline.

One is for drawing the button in normal state.

Another is for drawing the button when a mouse-over is detected.

The third is for drawing the button as you want it to look when the user clicks the button.

The last frame is used to specify which area you want mouse events to react to. That is: you can create a button that only reacts to mouse-events on certain areas of the drawing, - like the center of the button for example.

Movie clip objects

The final object-type: Movieclips, is similar to Graphics objects - on the surface.

In both cases you can create entire animations that can be dragged onto your main movie. But while animations made as Graphics objects simply loops over and over you can control the Movieclips completely.

THE TRICK BEHIND FANCY FLASH BUTTONS

You can create more fancy buttons based on very simple programming. (You do not have to be a programmer to learn to do this!).

Actions added to frames give complete access to controlling movie-clips. This means that you can use "Play", "Stop", and "Goto Frame" commands on a movie-clip, that is triggered when a certain mouse event is detected on a button.

Now - if the button is invisible and placed on top of the movie clip it will work as if the movie-clip itself was able to detect mouse events.

Simple Buttons

The easiest way to create buttons with Flash is creating a Button object.

Creating a Button

To create a Button object, do this:

1: Choose Insert->New Symbol in the menu (Or press Ctrl-F8)
and the Symbol Properties Box appears.

Add a name for your button and make sure the Button option is selected.

2: Click OK and the button editor opens.
As you see it looks exactly the same as the standard Flash editor, with one exception:
You only have four frames in the timeline.

3: Draw a button the way you want it to be when no mouse event is detected.
Notice that the active frame is labeled "Up" in the timeline.

4: Insert a keyframe in the frame labeled "Over" in the timeline.
(To do this: Click on Layer 1 in the white cell below where it says "Over". Then press F6.)

5: Draw a button the way you want it to be when a mouseover event is detected.

6: Insert a keyframe in the frame labeled "Down" in the timeline.
(To do this: Click on Layer 1 in the white cell below where it says "Down". Then press F6.)

7: Draw a button the way you want it to be when a mouse-click event is detected.

That's it - you've created a button with three looks that will change upon mouse events.

You still need to specify which area should be clickable as well as what should happen when the button is clicked. Proceed to learn about these steps.

PART 3 Ink Bottle Tool:

The Ink Bottle tool lets you change the stroke color, line width, and style of lines or shape outlines.
Using the Ink Bottle tool, rather than selecting individual lines and objects, makes it easier to change the stroke attributes of multiple objects at one time.
To use the Ink Bottle tool:

Select the Ink Bottle tool.
Choose a stroke color as described in Using the Stroke and Fill controls in the toolbox.

Color Tools:

3. Choose line style and line width from the Stroke panel.

Stroke Panel:

Window > Panels > Stroke

4. Click an object on the Stage to apply the stroke modifications.

Applying outlines to existing objects:

You can use the stroke tool to apply outlines even for things that were initially made without outlines.
For example, if you initially created a rectangle with no outline, then later decided you wanted an outline, simply use the Ink Bottle tool as described above and a new outline will be applied.

Paint Bucket Tool

The Paint Bucket tool fills enclosed areas with color. It can both fill empty areas and change the color of already painted areas. You can paint with solid colors, gradient fills, and bitmap fills.
You can also use the Paint Bucket tool to adjust the size, direction, and center of gradient and bitmap fills.
To use the Paint Bucket tool to fill an area:

Select the Paint Bucket tool.
Choose a fill color from the color tool box.

Color Tools:

3. Click the Gap Size modifier and choose a gap size option:

Don't Close Gaps : if you want to close gaps manually before filling the shape. Closing gaps manually can be faster for complex drawings.
Choose one of the Close options to have Flash fill a shape that has gaps.

4. Click the shape or enclosed area that you want to fill.
To adjust a gradient or bitmap fill with the Paint Bucket tool:
1. Select the Paint Bucket tool.
2. Click the Transform Fill .
3. Click an area filled with a gradient or bitmap fill.
Depending on the type of object you're painting you will see different handles:

a. Transform Linear Gradient Fills
.

b. Transform Radial Gradient Fills
.

c. Transform Bitmap Fills
.

4. Reshape the fill in any of the following ways:

a. To reposition the center point, drag the center point.

b. To change the width of the fill, drag the square handle on the side of the bounding box. (This option resizes only the fill, not the object containing the fill.)

c. To change the height of the fill, drag the square handle at the bottom of the bounding box.

d. To rotate the fill, drag the circular rotation handle at the corner. You can also drag the lowest handle on the bounding circle of a circular gradient or fill.

e. To scale a linear gradient, drag the square handle at the center of the bounding box.

f. To change the radius of a circular gradient, drag the middle circular handle on the bounding circle.

g. To skew or slant a fill within a shape, drag one of the circular handles on the top or right side of the bounding box.

h. To tile (repeat) a bitmap inside a shape, scale the fill.

Note: To see all of the handles when working with large fills or fills close to the edge of the Stage, choose View > Work Area.

PART 2 Curving Lines and Edges:

Moving

You can move a line with the mouse, quite similar to how you'd turn it into a curve or you can move it with the arrow keys.

Select the Arrow tool.
Make sure the line is selected (you can do this by clicking once on the line then release the mouse button).
Click on the line, and while holding down the mouse button, move it to the new position.
Press the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the line.

Precise Size and Positioning

You can position the line perfectly by using the info panel.

The "square" connected to the line where it says "Click this square" is used to set the origin for coordinates - either at top left or center of the stage.
Fields for X and Y are used to enter the position of the selected object.
Fields for W and H are used to enter the width and height of the selected object.
When working with lines, one might think that height would be 1 for a thin line.
However, width and height refers to the square between the start and end points of the selected object.
A horizontal line that is 100 pixels wide and 1 pixel high spans a square of 100 x 1 pixels. A similar line would span a square of 100 x 100 pixels if it was turned 45 degrees.

Oval Tool

The Oval tool is used to make circular objects. Simply select the tool and drag on the Stage to draw a circle that spans between the start and end points.

SHIFT key : Round Circles

You can press the Shift key while dragging to ensure your circle is perfectly round.

Colors

You can specify the colors with the Stroke and Fill Color Tools.

Ctrl+G : Grouping Outline with Fill

When you draw a circle, Flash actually creates two objects: the fill and the outline. This may cause problems if you try to move your circle to a new position, because if you fail to select both objects, only the one selected will be moved. To avoid this it's often a good idea to "group" the outline with the fill, thus locking them together as if it was a single object

Make sure both the fill and the outline is selected. (You can do this in two ways: a. Select the Arrow tool in the toolbox, and while holding down the SHIFT key click on both the fill and the outline.
b. Select the Arrow tool in the toolbox, and drag a rectangle outside your circle)
Press Ctrl+G to group the selected objects. (If at a later point you want to "break" apart the grouped objects, you can do it by selecting the grouped object then pressing Ctrl+B).

You can press the Shift key while dragging to constrain proportions for the rectangle, to ensure your rectangle is a perfect square.

Colors

You can specify the colors with the Stroke and Fill Color Tools.

Rounded Corners

You can specify the rounding of the corners with the "Round Rectangle Options" at the bottom of the toolbox.

Skewing

Before skewing a rectangle make sure it has been grouped. You can skew the rectangle in two ways.

Select the object with the Arrow tool.

Drag one of the centered handles.

To skew an object using the Transform panel:

Select the object.
Choose Window > Panels> Transform.
Click Skew.
Enter angles for the horizontal and vertical values

Precise size and positioning

Window > Panels > Info

Eraser Tool:

The Erase tool works similar to a classic eraser. Simply select the tool and drag on the Stage to erase things.

Double-click Eraser Tool:

Erase All You can double click the Eraser tool to delete everything on the stage. (If you happen to do this by mistake you can always click Ctrl+Z to undo).

Using the Eraser Mode Option

In the options listed at the bottom of the toolbox you can specify the Eraser Mode:

Erase Normal - erases strokes and fills on the same layer.
Erase Fills - erases only fills; strokes are not affected.
Erase Lines - erases only strokes; fills are not affected.
Erase Selected Fills - erases only the currently selected fills and does not affect strokes, selected or not. (Select the fills you want to erase before using the Eraser tool in this mode.)
Erase Inside - erases only the fill on which you begin the eraser stroke. If you begin erasing from an empty point, nothing will be erased. Strokes are unaffected by the eraser in this mode.

Using the Faucet Option

To remove stroke segments or filled areas:

Select the Eraser tool and then click the Faucet modifier.
Click the stroke segment or filled area that you want to delete.

Using the Eraser Shape Option

In the options listed at the bottom of the toolbox there is a drop down that lets you specify the Eraser shape and size. Use this option to customize the size and look of the eraser.

Alternative ways to delete things

There are other ways to delete things besides using the Eraser tool. The most common way is to select one or more objects and then press the DEL key on the keyboard. You can delete an entire layer by clicking the layer at the top of your screen and dragging it to the Trash bin. You can delete several frames at once by selecting the frames (and layers) in the timeline, then right click and choose "cut frames".

Part 1 - After the introduction in my next post you will see my first Flash Tutorial for the beginning

Flash is both a drawing tool and a movie editor. If you've used other graphics applications, some of the tools may look familiar, but some won't. To keep things simple, let's start with a little introduction to the interface before diving right in to the nuts and bolts.
The drawing tools in Flash let you create and modify shapes for the artwork in your movies. For an interactive introduction to drawing in Flash, choose Help > Lessons > Drawing in your Flash program. The tools for painting are kept in the "Tools" bar, usually positioned at the left top of your Flash Screen.

This is the main area where you will find all your image editing tools.
On the following pages we will guide you through the use of each of these tools, starting with the simplest.
But before going through the different tools, we will look at the way Flash handle drawings. The most important thing to understand is the distinction between outlines and fills. When you draw a line there is no fill - only the outline. When you draw a rectangle (or a circle) you actually draw two things: The outline (border) and the fill. Unlike most other programs, Flash doesn't automatically combine these two into one object.

Pencil Tool:

The Pencil tool is used in much the same way that you would use a real pencil to draw. Simply select the tool and drag on the Stage to draw with the Pencil tool.
SHIFT key : Constrain directions You can press the Shift key while dragging to constrain lines to vertical or horizontal directions.

Colors

You can specify the color with the Stroke Color Tool.

Smoothing and Straightening

Stroke panel : Window > Panels > Stroke
Finally, you can specify line style (solid, dotted etc.), line width in pixels and color using the Stroke panel.

Line Tool:

The Line tool is used in much the same way that you would use a real pencil to draw with a ruler. Simply select the tool and drag on the Stage to draw a straight line between the start and end points.
SHIFT key : Constrain angles
You can press the Shift key while dragging to constrain possible angles for the line. By default this will only allow for lines that are either horizontal, vertical or 45 degrees between.

Colors

You can specify the color with the Stroke Color Tool.

Curving You can turn a straight line into a curve with the Arrow tool

Make sure the line is not selected (you can do this by clicking somewhere on an empty spot on the stage).
Select the Arrow tool.
Click on the line, and while holding down the mouse button, drag the curve.
Release the mouse button and your curve is finished

Photoshop tutorial: Magic glow

How to create vector magic hat in Photoshop was my favorite design. If you like to learn and want to know how kindly visit above link. With both tutorials you might know how to use Brush Tool in Photoshop. In this tutorial you will learn how to set Brush Tool in effect.

Let make a new document size: 10 x 10 cm and apply Gradient as seen below:

and get a magic glass to your work.

We make a shadow below this glass and also make this glass might lightness.
1- make glass more lightness ==> image adjustment ==>Curves (Ctrl + M) apply lightness as below.

2- We make a shadow below this glass. Use Elliptical Marquee Tool (M) draw it and apply black color and go to Filter => Blur ==> Gaussian Blur then set Radius: 4.0 pixels

Use Elliptical Marquee again to draw to of glass apply white color and make it a bit blur (to make it blur just follow above instruction) and apply Outer Glow with below option:

Filter ==> Layer Style ==> Outer Glow
Blend Mode: Color Dodge
Opacity: 75%
Size: 114%

make a new layer and set up Brush Tool in below step by step option:

Using your foreground color in white to brush here and there then apply Outer Glow again. See option below

Finally use Lasso Tool to draw a layer (L) in white color then apply Gaussian Blur with Radius: 90.8%

Then here your result.

Illustrator tutorial: make a camera lens

Look at above image even it was not a professional design but at least we can say it is good design as well. As what I mentioned in my previouse post. Before you design you might think and understanding the process fromt he beginning till end. In this tutorial you will learn in a easy way to make it like a real one. Sure it take time and many steps to do. But one thing is we only use Ellipse Tool to make it and some other effect.

Step 1: use Ellipse Tool (L) make a circle size: 4cm x 4cm and fill Gradient with 100% black and 57.88% gray in an angle -45

Step 2: make other circle smaller then first one size: 3.98cm x 3.98 cm then fill gradient with 100% black and 74.99% gray and angle is -45. Please note that we are making a lens body so you will see below image how its bevel and emboss comes out.

Step 3: make 3rd circle size 3.12cm x 3.12cm in the angle is 135 and fill gradient in 100% black and 77.87% gray and now you got the cover of lens.

Step 4: make a solid black circle size: 3.1cm x 3.1cm and adjust it to the top left of the lens. Take note to red arrow once you adjust it a bit you will have a white shine.

Step 5:make 5th circle size: 3cm x 3cm fill in solid gray of 70% and adjust it middle of lens. Alright now we have a black shadow. Look to below image.

Step 6: make 6th circle size 2.85cm x 2.85cm in same way fill in gradient in 100% black but location is 85.45% and 77.87% gray with angle 90.

Step 7:make 7th circle size: 2.82cm x 2.82cm fill in solid gray color 70%.

Step 8: make 8th circle size: 2.74cm x 2.74cm fill in gradient in 100% black and 60% gray angle 90.

Step 9: in 9th circle we make it smaller in size 2.71cm x 2.71cm and fill a solid gray 70%

Step 10: we continuous to the 10th circle. Again make a circle size 2.63cm x 2.63cm and fill gradient in 100% black and 60% gray in angle of 90.

Step 11: make the 11th circle in size 2.22cm x 2.22cm revert the angle to -45 fill gradient 100% and 80% gray. See what the different in below image.

Step 12: this time we create a gradient mesh. This part is some thing new in this tutorial and very importance in your future design. As my previous design of Illustrator Tutorial: vector background you will learn in basic Gradient Mesh using Mesh Tool.

Let's make12th circle size 2.19cm x 2.19cm and fill only solid black and go to Object menu => Create Gradient Mesh... in the option box make some change here Rows: 3, Columns: 3, Appearance: Flat and Highlight: 100. t won't appear like image yet. Press U for the Mesh Tool. Let's give a gray color in the top left part. Once you press U then make a select on an anchor point on the left side where the junker line is.

See the red arrow it shows you where the junker anchor points are JUST USE YOUR MOUSE TO CLICK ON THAT THEN YOU CAN COLOR IT STRAIGHT AWAY. Please color it as seen in below.

Step 13: make 13th circle and fill in white size 1.65cm x 1.65cm this object we apply feature.. and go to Effect menu ==> Stylize ==> feature.. and apply 0.05cm

Step 14:make 14th circle size 1.61cm x 1.61cm and gradient type is Radial which make the gray color in middle as 82.79% and round black 100%

Step 15: we make 15th circle size 1.57cm x 1.57cm and feature it again in same option as before.

Step 16: this is the 16th circle sure is smaller in size 1.51cm x 1.51cm fill gradient as below option
Gradient type: Radial, Location: 28.48% , 100% black and 74% gray.

Step 17: we make a feature around the above object. Just your pen tool to draw it or you can make two circle and use your pathfinder to cut. Then go to Effect menu ==> Stylize==> Feature... choose 0.08cm

Tips: to make it more blur you also can do some blur tool there.

Step 18:try the same way of feature and make some small and big object as seen in the image.

Step 19:let's make a 30 transparency lens above all object. To do so you have to make last circle and fill in white color only. Then duplicate it and move down until you think it is possible and cut it with pathfinder then you can give it as 30% of transparency. After that give it in a black background.

Step 20: in this black background let's make a reflection of the lens just only make a copy of lens and move down and in the transparency box make an opacity mask and press M to make a object over it. In the gradient box fill in 100% black and 60% gray and adjust as type: linear, angle: 90, location: 30.77%

This is the final step. Add in text on the lens

After all I am trying to reduce some unused words to make you more clear and understand the real action while doing the design. If you found out some miss step please kindly let me know. Illustrator tutorial: Vector background

Well it was difficult for me to think and created this vector background. It might easy if you only one look into it but the way to design it you might understand how it process. So please do not scroll down yet you can tell me how many steps would you do on this design?

Let me recap to you, will do only 3 basic steps. 1) the Mesh background, 2) Vector style and 3) Dot style. See below details and steps you will clearly understand it and be able to design yourself.

Step 1: Make a Mesh background.
Create a new document size: 5cm x 5cm and fill in black color. Get your Mesh Tool (U) ready.

In this below image you have to do as follow:
- Adjust your document in CMYK
- Align you foreground in pink ( you can use your own color)
- Click on the black background as given above.

Keep on doing this Mesh background till it become like this.

Step 2: Use Rectangle Tool (M) make a long object and a square object. Align together and cutting a shape object with Pathfinder by press Ctrl + Shift + F9 and choose Intersect Shape Areas.

Change the Document into RGB. Fill in Gradient with details Type: Linear, Angle: 45 and in the Transparency tap Blending mode: Color Dodge.

then keep repeat the same adjustment. In the long way of using Rectangle Tool (M), Pathfinder, Gradient and Transparency

As mention above please keep on doing and repeat the action of this object until you finally get below image. But one thing you must change it while doing this. The Angle of Grandient above part is 45 and below part is 135. Or you can use your own style and color.

Step 3: Use Ellipse Tool (L) drawing a cycle object and fill in black and white Gradient then align as Screen in the Transparency tab.

Just last step make this object small and big and past it here and there full of the background image. Then finally your result is a nice Vector background.

Illustrator tutorial: way to make 3D disco ball (another style)

Please understand that in this tutorial is focusing on how to make a 3D Ball not on lighting and shining. If every one need coloring and shining please try to make some adjustment to the color.

Create a New Document and then create a Rectangular shape size 5cm x 5cm fill it with bright radial gradient. Then Rasterize your image by go to the top menu ==> Object ==>Rasterize and just clik “ok”

Now go to the Filter==>Create ==>Object Mosaic and play with numbers there. Let's make some option as below:
New size: 5 cm for both width and height
Tile spacing = 0 cm for both width and height
Number of Tiles =30 (again for both)
Check ‘Delete Raster’ box.
Now we’ve got a nicemosaic.

Select the rectangular and drag and drop it into the Symbols panel.

Now create a circle (1) fill in the same gradient and make a copy of it fill in blue color (2). And make other object as you can see in (3). Let's join together within number (2) + (3) and press Ctrl + Shift + F9 (Pathfinder) and select Subtract from Sharp Area and you will get number (4)

After that use number (4) to make 3D Ball go to Effect menu =>3D =>Revolve. Change numbers there following the picture below, change Surface to “No Shading” and go to the Map Art.

In the Map Art window in the drop down menu choose your mosaic symbol we created before. Icrease or decrease its size if necessary. Make sure your surface is align your symbol. See below image

Now go to the Object =>Expand Appearance.
Ungroup this ball (Ctrl + Shift + G) or right click => ungroup do like this 3 times and select the side ball to remove it away.

Select a circle we made before in number (1) revert gradient style and different colro after that go to Transparancy tab (left side bar) select Blending Mode as Darken, put it close to our 3D ball and align together.

Release Cliping Mask and Ungroup agian. So now it’s time to use your imagination to make our disco ball looks more shiny and real.

Just keep doing what we have do and edit colors play with other tile till you got your colorfull desing.

Now lets add some star light on the ball make it more shining by drawing 4 part of stars for our finall result.

I know that it was not colorfull enough I hope every one can give me some idea to make it nice and lighter then. So let's share..

Illustrator tutorial: make a 2011 greeting card

Hi every one welcome to Creative Layer. This year 2011 in Cambodia still cool so far. Well I am going to show you the easy way to make a Greeting Card in Illustrator. Let's recap what Tool I used to make it.

Type Tool (T)
Rounded Rectangle Tool
Rectangle Tool (M)
Symbol Sprayer Tool (Shift + S)
Symbol and Effect Tool

Refer to the above I try to make you clear and after you try it you will easily make it.
Let's start it with background style. Rectangle Tool (M) make a square object and Gradient as below:

and use make a long object here then duplicate it until you got like image below. Make sure Gradient style is align.

Start Type Tool (T) and type number 2 font is Bauhaus 93 normal. I am not sure if you computer has this font but mostly have it. If you don't have it you can use your own font style with the same instruction.

Once you the number ready go to ==> Effect ==> 3D ==> Extrude & Bevel..

Set up by the image option here 10 - 15 - -8 Perspective: 100 and then OK

Go to Object menu ==> Expand Appearance then finally you have a 3D number 2. Try to un-group it and then you will able to color it by part.

Over here I used the swatches color to help me on the foreground color and style.

Well on my side I only used Type Tool one time on the number 2 the rest I used Rounded Rectangle Tool to help it. Let's look to number 0 and number 1. After I used the Rounded Rectangle Tool I gave the same option of the above and color. Then make a shadow to all numbers.

Make stars by using the Symbol Sprayer Tool. Firstly find a star symbol on the symbol tab. Select on it and select Symbol Sprayer Tool to spray. Below image is what we got after sprayed.

Illustrator Tutorial: Disco Ball

Well in this tutorial and the main focusing is one the ball and light. The rest can be design to be look more nicer amoung the ball. It is actually quite simple, the technique is to create the texture first and map it onto the 3D sphere. However, we will require Illustrator CS and above to create this awesome Illustrator effect.

1. Create the Disco Ball

Select the Rectangle Tool (M) and make a square object with light blue color. After this select the square object and hold Alt key then drag to make other object and give it as black color.

Try to duplicate the above object until you get this and make sure you give different color like in a club because will are trying to make a disco ball. Then make another object by copy again. See below image

Once every object is done. Drag to the Symbols tab and leave it one side.

2. Create a 3D sphere

Well let's get your tool ready. Press (L) for making a cycle object and press (M) to draw vertical object as seen. Join it together but just haft of each. Then press Ctrl + Shift + F9 for a Pathfinder option. Make sure you select both object and press Subtract Sharp Area in the Pathfinder dialogue then finally you get a result in below image.

Let make this object into 3D. Select it and go to Effect menu ==> 3D ==> Revolve then 3D dialogue is appeared.

Press Map Art and one the symbol type select an object which we had drag to symbol (just remember that: your 3D object must smaller then symbol). Try to find the face of it in surface.

and now you get the ball. Give background in black and start making a light star.

to make a star light you can use what ever tool to make it and give some effect. Now let's use Pen tool and pen it as a star. Make a cycle object and gradient as type Radial black and white and on the same object go to transparency tab to make layer mask and make it as shadow. And make it into one object. See below

Try to past it in some part of the ball. And last one do same thing but make only lighting without star in the middle of ball.

Here is the finall result.

Create a Christmas Card in Illustrator

Base on the above image you will feel some think. Well don't think it is hard to do but it is exacltly easy to do it. Let's follow me and try out your design from step to step as below:
Step 1: create new document and Gradient as below image option

Step 2: get your pen tool ready (press P) and drawing this snowflake as seen here.

Step 3: now use this snowflake just transform in a line and cycle it below as a Christmas thing. Remember to make it different size like big here small there....

Step 4: after this copy this snowflake into 3 different object.

and do like below image as well. Only make it in different places. Big here small there.

Step 5: Use Ellipse tool to draw cycle object and apply Gradient style & Transparency as below

Do copy and follow below image.

This one also. I hope it is easy to understand for as I don't have to explain much of it but if you still have question please drop me a comment below.

Step 6: Once every cycle object is done. Now again drawing another cycle but do not fill in any color but yet a stroke color in brown and 1pt. See below option.

Then do copy again and again.

Step 7: now making a shining for the snowflake. Use Ellipse Tool and drawing apply for Gradient. Then on the Transparency tab we make a layer make style. Adjust here ==> Screen style and opacity: 100% then go to Gradient again adjust the type of Radial coloring in white and red. See below

You did it all and copy to some where else of the snowflake to make your snowflake more shiner then finally you got the result as below.

Abstract new year 2011 colorful design in illustration

Christmas is coming on your way with a greatness happiness, healthy, gold and monies. This design is another knowledge which I learned from other vector graphic. To start this you have to understand and imagine how the design goes. Let's start create a new document gaven a black background.

Type 2011 by choosing a nice font or what ever which you think it is the best.

Outline this font by just right click on it and select create outline

Then we have to offset path just make sure you are on the outline object and go to Object menu ==> Path ==> Offset Path...

The Offset Path dialogue is appeared then adjust it as Offset: 0.04cm, Joins: Miter and Miter limit: 4 then press OK.

After this you have 2 2010 object. Select the 2nd object and Gradient as below image.

Press the 1st object and give another Gradient style as seen.

Finally the New Year 2011 is starting to appear.
Press L to draw cycle object and again Gradient it as: Type: Radial color with a pink and adjust it as seen. After all the transparency as Scree.

Backward that object and make another color with the same adjusted. By following below image you will know how to do.

Press L again and redraw a small cycle object in white color. Duplicate in full of black background and group it. Then go to the Transparency tab choose overlay. and backward.

The last step is make a shadow of 2011 and add some lighten start on it the below is the result.

Create a Christmas Tree in Adobe Photoshop

This year going to end by this December. That's the reson I decide to share you this tutorial. To create this Christmast Tree I mainly using Brush Tool, Pen Tool and Custom Sharp Tool. Base on this it might be not creative enough shall I need your idea to improve my creative as well so after you read through and try yourself please show me what is your thought.
Let start with:
Step 1: Open your Photoshop and make a new document size 10cm x 10cm resolution 72 pixels. Make a new background color with Gradient style as seen below

Step 2: Using Pen Tool (U) and start drawing a Christmas Tree and color it with back.

Step 3: Using Brush Tool to brush the start which is related to Christmas Theme and adjust with below option.

Step 4: Make sure you have create new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) and your foreground is white before you start to brush.

You can adjust size of the stars and hide the black tree and press U to add a big star above the tree in white as well. Here it is.

Step 5: Using Custom Sharp Tool (U). Look for cycle like below object and draw it in white color where your white star is.

Step 6: I know some of you are regularly ready all my post. I always mention on how to make a layer mask like How to make a fire effect and How to create an effective logo and more about Photoshop style but yet if this is your first time I would warmly welcome.

Well to start this layer mask please look to your layer pallet the below there are shortcut and see below image you will understand

Once you press it mean you are on the way to make a mask on a layer so make sure you are on what layer you want to make a mask. Adjust you foreground and background in black and white. Press G (Gradient) and see the Gradient option just follow as what I did

Then go to your tree and start mask it as you seen in below image to your result.

Step 7: Using Pen Tool (P) to draw a tree again. Do like this you star will become real tree.

Step 8: Look back to use the Custom Sharp Tool (U) and look for a Christmas snow path.

Give white color to the snow and only 40% opacity. And here your last result.

Make a simple logo in Offset Path Object of Illustrator Tool

let's me show you how easy way to make a company logo just only 3 to 4 steps. I used LOGO as my design but for you it is possible to use your own style.

Let's start it right away.

Press T for text to type LOGO and make it a copy and hide it. Then work with the appear one. Right click on that LOGO and select Create Outline. So your text will become an object.

Go to Object Menu => Path => Offset Path...

A dialog is appeared. Set size Offset to 0.35cm, Joins: Miter and Miter limit: 4

And you logo will become bigger. Give it as red color. Then do it the same to other Logo object and make it bigger then this red on.

Once you did. We don't have to give any foreground color but a black stroke should be here. See Logo below.

Unhidden the LOGO wording and white color. Here we have a result.

Vector 3D Star Icon Design in Illustrator

Hi every one as in my previous post I did to mention some of the 3D Tool both in Photoshop and Illustrator. And now I like to show you another easy way to make a 3D star Icon in Illustrator as you see it below.
Start up your Illustrator now and make a new document size 10 x 10 cm. Then select Rounded Rectangle Tool then draw this below.
Back to Star Tool draw it in the middle of Rounded object (please remember to make copy of this Star Object you might need to use it after this). Press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to view the PathFinder or if you want to remember it just go=> Window menu => PathFinder. Select both of these object (Rounded and star) and press Exclude Overlapping Sharp Areas and press expand right after these 2 objects become one object.
Alright now we have a rounded object which is star whole in the middle. Make it 3D go => Effect Menu => 3D => Extrude and Bavel
A dialog is appeared once you select as what I told you. You don't have to edit it all just seethe red cycle 22 green -26 blue 8 and the Extrude Depth is 20
Then here is the 3D Star Rounded.
Remember I told you to copy the Star Object. Now it is time to use and do it the same way as above option. After you done it duplicate this Star into 2 and expand one of it. For me I use left object and hide the right one. To do that just follow here. Select left star object and go to Object Menu=> Expand Appearance.

Then un-group it all or just double click and delete 3D shadow of this star. Let's name it a Black Star.

With this Black Star please un-fill its color (just leave it blank) and apply the Black Star Stroke in white color.

Go to Object Menu=>Path=>Offset Path... We make this Offset Path is to resize its stroke in a fit size of a star. Sorry because my English is still poor. Some of you might not understand please contact me via my email at chetsary@gmail.com or drop me a comment.

Here our 3D Star Rounded result.

Now you will see some style to make the 3D Star Rounded appear clearly. To do that just select the 3D Star Rounded (except the white star stroke). Expand it now go to Object Menu => Expand Appearance. Double click and select the All 3D Shadow => Ctrl+Shift+F9 in the Pathfinder box => Add to shape area do like this is to merge that Shadow to become 1 Shadow then Gradient in a bit black color. Same way to front part of the Star.

Open up the right 3D which we had hired it and using the same way of making 3D Style and option. Style as what you want. The below is the final result.

Illustrator text style ==> how to envelope text with object

I was thinking how to make my text align and embed to my object. After learning through I found some great and easy making you because you are my great reader who will leave me a thanks comment.

Let's start up your Illustrator and download this fish image just only click on it and download.

Press P for a Pen Tool and draw it like image below

Press T for Text to type then push this text behind of all layer.

Select both object and got to object menu ==> Envelope Distort ==> Make With Top Object (Ctrl + Alt + C)

Here result after envelope text and color it. You also can color it in one time when you have group it. Do the same to the other object of fish body.

Here is a final result.

Awesome fire effect for 3D text (Photoshop)

This tutorial is going to be a little more advanced than the other ones I have done. It shouldn’t be a problem if you have been following along with our other tutorials or have a grasp of Photoshop. As my previous post I also shown on How to Create a Stunning Fire Effect In Photoshop . So lets begin.
Open up your Adobe Photoshop and make a new document (Ctrl + N) size: 10cm x 10 cm resolution : 72pixel and black background color.

Press T to start typing text. Type F in the meaning of FIRE. Just look to the right of your work space you will see a new layer of this latter F then right click on it => Rasterize Layer. Do like this your text will become an object and do remember that once you Rasterize it can not be re-edit as text.

Transform this F and right click again => Distort then try to make this F as seen in below image.

Then download this image. We will use it from now as a background and fire effect and name it as BACKGROUND IMAGE.

After download finish bring it into your work place and make a copy by select this image all and Ctrl + C.
Load latter F selection now press Ctrl + Shift + V to pass the image as a layer mask.

Here we got

Press Pen Tool to start draw 3D.

Draw this 3D until you finish. Then it should be look like this

Merge all layer together (select all layer and Ctrl +E). Look to your layer and adjust the color to Linear Light

Then you 3D latter F will look like below

Use the background image this time and put a layer mask and Ctrl + U to adjust color into it as seen. If you're all are misunderstanding this part please leave me below comment or contact me for my fatest reply.

Alright now what to do?
Use your Pen Tool again but this time we are making shadow of latter F. To make it easy way just copy this merge latter F and give a black color on it then => Filter => Blur => Guassian Blur
Do the same to all latter as we F now continuous to I, R, E and place those latter some thing nicely.

It is time to make some fire effect and it should be the last step. Download these fire and bring all to your work place.

Let take one of it and make layer mask to cut all black background. It is hard for me to make you understand Because my English is poor so I hardly to write this Layer Mask but you can leave me a comment and subscribe to this comment so when I reply you will get it as my explaining is there.

Once you have done it. Take other fire image and play it in the same style of layer mask to what you think is nice to your design then you will have a result like this.

Creative LOGO Effect (Creatve Layer Logo) in Photoshop

In this tutorial, we’re going to create some really sharp-looking glow effects using a combination of layer styles, the Pen Tool and Color Blending. The end effect is quite stunning and hopefully you’ll pick up some tips you didn’t know before.
Let's begin with a radial gradient. This one is pretty harsh and goes from a reddish brown color to black

so what we’ll do is duplicate the layer we just made and set the one above to a blending mode of Color Dodge. There are a few types of blending modes, darkening ones, lightening ones, colorizing ones and inverting ones. Color Dodge is probably the strongest of the lightening ones. As you can see in the screenshot, it produces a pretty full-on center.

create a sort of smoky haze. To do this, create a new layer, then make sure you have white, #ffffff, and black, #000000, selected as your background and foreground colors. Then go to Filter > Render > Clouds.

set the opacity of your layer to Overlay and 30% transparency. In some instances this would be enough,
So go to Filter > Sketch > Chrome and use default settings of 4 and 7 for detail and smoothness respectively. Actually you can probably mess around with those if you want, but the defaults seem to be fine.

Once it is done then you have to make it as a layer mask. The reason to do this is to make our background in a cycle way and middle. Just got to Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal all and set up your foreground color in black and go again to your Gradient tool (G) and set its option as foreground to transparent as below image then you will have result.

Now before we can start making glows, we need to have something to glow. Here’s where we break out the pen tool. If you have used the pen tool much I suggest playing around with it a little. There are some tricky things you can do with shortcuts, but for this tutorial you don’t need those.
In fact all we want to achieve are some nice curves. Fortunately this isn’t too hard. I find the trick is not to use too many points. Instead rely on the Pen Tool’s natural curving and drag the mouse out for each point so you get a big angle. In this S-curve shown above, I’ve only used three points, the starting point, the end point and one in between to give it the bend. So start up your Pen tool now (P) to draw latter C.

Make it as a new layer and go to your Brush option to select a brush

Then come back to Pen tool again and right click select Stroke Path and you will see a drop down menu which is ask you to select what kind of Stroke Path you like. Then we go for Brush.

After select this Stroke Path as Brush give some effect through the Layer Style as below option

Here we got it as latter C effect.

Draw another latter L and copy latter C layer style. I have not attache this image for you in the mean time if you are doubt on it please drop me a comment below there to get this image.

As you know my site is named Creatve Layer One Stop Creative Design Resource. That's why I choose latter C and L.
Well now start up you brush option go to brush tool > brush option then set it as below:

Press T to start typing text. I use CREATIVE you can use yours due to your aim. Then give its style.

Here we got it as a nice creative. I know in below image you can see some lighting dot along the C and L line and around Creative Text. Do not wonder it is what our brush set up its option just now. Once you finish your effect to the text. Then select Brush Tool and start to brush with the same affect you gave to Creative Text.

This is the last step I can say to you. Press T again and type ONE STOP to place it on the top left of Creative and DESIGN RESOURCE to place it bottom right of Creative and both text make sure you give the same as Creative Effect. Then below is your result.

Twitter is now every one using. You also might have one to promote your side. But don't worry if you are not just go to www.twitter.com to sign up. SEE MY TWITTER AND FOLLOW ME NOW This post will help you to design your own theme as well as how to design the cool theme, where to draw inspiration or where to get/generate some free themes if you don’t have time to create something on your own, don’t know Photoshop or you are just lazy and spend most of the day enjoying the young spring sun :).

Well the basic thing is you only want to know how size, width, hight and solution which can make your theme upload to twitter. Why? there is only one answer to you is twitter can allow you upload to all file which is less then 800kb.

Now can not wait to make your design. Let's open up you Photoshop and make a new document by below edit:
Width: 1309 px or 14.46 cm
Height: 863 px or 9.53 cm
Resolution: 222 px

Then go to your twitter home page print screen that page and past to you document. You will see the empty side left and right. Make a note on that.

See the above black side that was I note it. Then from now you can find you own logo and design by your own until you got your result like what I got.

Then save it as a jpg file and make sure you file is no bigger then 800kb.
Log in to your twitter--->Setting-->Design-->Change background images
Browse your theme and save it. Here we have.

Photoshop: Eraser Tool & Clone Stamp Tool to manipulate smoke designing

Learn to apply the Warp Tool effectively and a few other tricks to make smoke look like a skull. This technique has a variety of outcomes and works well with water, clouds and a whole bunch of other stuff. This is probably more for intermediate users, as I guide you through the process well, but not every Warp Grid point handle move. Before we go on you might have below image ready.
1- Smoker
2- Skull
3- Smoke A
4- Smoke B
Let’s get started!
Open up Smoker image. It should look like this.

Just create new document with size 544 px (W) x 600 px (H) resolution 300 px background in black. Cut the top smoke and keep it on side.

Open the Skull image and draw a path around it using the Pen Tool (set to Paths not Shape Layers). Roughly clone out unwanted elements such as the nuts and bolts using the Clone Stamp Tool (with a soft edged brush).

Next we’re going to treat the skull. Adjust the Levels (Image > Adjustments > Levels) as shown. Then select the Clone Stamp Tool (with a soft edged brush) and clone out the area of shadow in the eye-socket to the right-hand side.
Don’t worry about being too accurate, it should take you a minute. Then desaturate the Skull (Image > Adjustments > Desaturate) and apply a Glowing Edges filter (Filter > Stylize > Glowing Edges) as shown.

Remember the first starting we cut and keep the top smoke on a side. Now use it back and re-adjust by Ctrl + T and right click select warp and make it as seen below

Open the Smoke A image, Invert the image (Image > Adjustments > Invert) so the smoke is white and the background is black. Then copy and paste it into the working document, and name the layer “SMOKE.”
Change the layer blending mode to Screen. Finally copy the Layer (Layer > Duplicate layer).

And now it is time to start using your Eraser Tool. Just transform your smoke and right click and to select warp. Again just use your eraser tool to design on the smoke. Follow step by step of the below image.

Now the skull is ready for some lighter, wispier areas of smoke, which should add realism to it. Download the Smoke B image and open it up. Change the layer blending mode to Screen.

Keep copy one be one of this smoke work with eraser tool adjust it on the below option till you finish your work.

Once you have done it here is your result.

How to Create a Stunning Fire Effect In Photoshop

Hello every one here. How are you after so long. Well I am back to bring you all new tutorial which I just learned through. Showing a realistic, fire effect in photoshop is a bit tough, but in this tutorial we will learn how to use photoshop to render realistic flames and create a dramatic artwork in few simple and easy steps.
Lets begin with the final result of this tutorial, so we will get an idea about what we are going to create next.

Step 1
Create a new document. In layer panel create a new layer, ‘Layer 1’ and fill it with any color. Right click on ‘Layer 1’ and select blending options. Apply gradient effect with the settings as shown below.

After applying gradient effect the result will be like this.

Step 2
All some flower and you can download it here image. Rename the layer as ‘Flower’ and position it above ‘Layer 1’.
Note: if you can use your own flower also much more creative you are.

Using blending options apply white color to the Flower image as shown below. apply the 'Outer glow' and 'Inner glow' effects to the flower image using blending options. Keep the settings as shown below.

The result will look like this.

Step 3 Right click on ‘Flower’ layer and choose ‘Duplicate layer’ to make a copy of flower layer. Apply Gaussian blur effect, (filter &go to blur then gaussian blur) to this layer. Keep the radius as 5.7 pixel. Next, move the ‘Flower copy’ layer below ‘Flower’ laye.

Step 4

Now comes the fun part, applying flames effect to the flower image! Using smudge tool spread the edges of the leaves.

After smudge this blur layer get these 2 flowers on here result.

Step 5 For the background flame effect, take any fire image which is suitable for your flower image. Here I have used fire flame to make it as a shadow and smoke behind the flowers. Download here is the fire flame image. Rename the layer as ‘Flame’. Using smudge tool spread the edges of the flames, repeat this process until you see the following result.

Then move the ‘Flame’ layer below ‘Flower copy’ layer. Change the layer style to 'Lighten' and set the opacity to 20%.

The result be like this.

Step 6 Now we are coming very close to the ultimate burning flower effect. Take any fire image and cut the flames from it and keep this ‘Flames’ layer below ‘Flower copy’ layer. Move those cut flames to the suitable area of the flower image and blend the flames with flower image using smudge tool. Please see below images to understand this process better. Repeat step 6 for all the areas of flower image where you want the flames to come out.

Step 7 this is the final step. Well go back to our first flower which is on the top of the copy layer. Just right click on that layer and give it as a Gradient overlay in white color

There you go, a stunning fire effect is ready! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Brush tool with Illustrator

Is was so long and take time to post as I was thinking on how to create new creative idea. Even I know all my post it won't appear much more technique but at least some one who are reading now may learn through. Well this tip if focus on Brush tool. The rest of design are in side the trick as we can start with below simple way. Create new vertical doc and style it as a Gradient as seen in below image.

make a 3D present box. You can use what box you like or the same as this one. If you have trouble on how to make it. I did post this trick with details to make it nicer. You may find out it here as it a Pen Tool tips

Get a Line Segment Tool to draw a line given black.

Make it into 2 or you can duplicate.

once you done the copy just now. Press Ctrl + D to duplicate all line. This part of duplicate you can find out more over here it was a great way to make some shine and technique.

Make it as a clipping mask. Why do we have to do that? Well to make this clipping mask it to make our object is shown in part which we want it to appear. Just follow this step you will see how understand you are to this tips.

Move your line the back of the background object.
Use Rectangular Tool to draw as the same as background or copy that background.
Select line object together with new background object
Right click on it and select Make Clipping Mask as shown with below image.

Here we got after the Clipping mask. Ok now give a Gradient style on that mask. I think you might do it well better then me. Show off your design now.

I might want to change the background color. I feel the red is guide good to my present box. You can remain the same background.

Type a Mystery on top of the object and make it outlines by just right click and select Create Outlines. Go to your brushes dialogue and select on brush which you think is best to use.

Here result of the brush which is this tip focus on. Yet to finish make some light on it as below.

Use Flare Tool to make light. Step of it as below:

Select Flare Tool.
Draw it on the object and re size it as smaller as you like and name it as a light shine.
Drag that light shine to Symbol dialogue normally it stay at the right of the work space.
Make sure you are on the light shine symbol and make it spray by using Symbol sprayer tools.
Start to spray it.

And finally we got a nice brush with shining background as below result.

Pen Tool: how to draw a present box in Illustrator

Hi here I am again Chet Sary from Cambodia to share you new tips. It is 31st May 2010 already and there weither in my country is very hot. But I can still show a present box drawing using Pen Tool in Illustrator. See the result below

First you have to imagine how does it that you want it to be. But no need to care just follow my easy understanding to you. Start up with your new document. Size as what you wish. Then start your Pen Tool by now. Draw first path.

Give it Gradient in Radial style and stroke.

Drawing second path of box with the same Gradient but no stroke. It will see as the cover of the box.

And draw a body of the box. here it is

Add a shadow below the box. Now the present box is shown. It is not yet to be finished yet. But you can use it as you want. To make it nicer we have to add ribbon to decorate it as a present.

draw 3 face of the box left, right and front. Make some Gradient and make sure your ribbon is shown. You can add its shadow from now. For me I will add it later. I mean I will add it all in one time.

Ok first 3 faces drawn done. Now redraw another 2 face above the left and front ribbons. Start from left.

Then front face of the box.

Now as what I said we add shadow on it all. It will appear the ribbon straight away.

Once again please don't mind my English I know it is very poor. Ha haaaaaaaaaaa...............it is the way I am.

Now seems to be done but a few more steps. Draw a top curve ribbon on the left side.

Same here in front.

In the middle of the box draw a path which is connect to the curve ribbon or a whole ribbon. Imagine that.

Ribbon might can see inside when it is tied up. So try to draw that site.

this too. I think you could understand what I am drawing and explain to you about a tie ribbon. After you finish the tie drawing. it should look like this.

Ok it now a last step to finish this box. Make a white space on the ribbon. So your ribbon will look fashion and nice creative. Try it out and see.

Once you did the above one. Make it for the left and front face of the box for all ribbon drawing. And you have a good result like below.

Illustrator with Big Bass

As what I used to mention since my first post to this blog. I am a bigger to the Creative Job and Like DESIGN. But I rally using the Illustrator. What I do is what I have learn through. If you are a daily visiting to this blog you might learn like me too, why? because you are the same to me. Don't forget to share me how you opinion is through my comment box. Let's make a new by size: 15 x 10 cm and Gradient as a simple one.

Now press L draw 2 objects rounding and go to window menu to show up a pathfinder dialogue. Cut out the middle one and give another Gradient as image.

Using Ellipse Tool again draw another rounding object and style as Gradient.

Copy and past that round object but give it a stroke without any color filing inside.

Re-copy it or you can do it by press Ctrl + C and Ctrl + F to past it front. Make it the same as image Gradient again.

Ha ha seems all are use with Ellipse Tool. Make a small rounding

and this one. Finally you got a speck face to you.

Then use a Line segment tool to make a line by giving 5pt stroke in white color.

Make that line into 2 and press to rotate by holding you Ctrl key until you think you like the spacing of it.

Once you did it duplicate the line as rounding and move it to the back of the speaker object.

Go to the Transparency dialogue or again get the Windows Menu press Transparency. Just simple give the Gradient then it will hide your line a bit.

It is time to make some light on. You will see the Flare Tool. Make it as small as you like and drag it into a symbol dialogue. If you like to see where is the symbol dialogue just go to Windows menu then find it.

Once you drag it to the symbol dialogue. Use the Symbol Sprayer tools to spray the light.

After spraying here we have the speaker.

Simple way to make a wall clock with Illustrator

See the above clock. Just one look if you are fluent in Illustator you will say it is very easy but if some one are new to it and it now is a beginning tips to try. So why have to wait. Let's do it.

Simple way only to do and we don't use much tool and style.

Let's press L to make a clock and Gradient

No need to press L again and redraw this cycle. The easy way is hold key Clrt + C to copy and hold Clrt + F to past it in front. Here we got

again copy and past then leave a style

Same copy here but this time you have to go Effect menu and select stylize then Inner Glow. Follow the image option.

Make a small rounding in the middle of the clock.

and make small cycle to cover our Inner Glow shadow.

It is time to make a timer sign. We have 12 hours so the timer sign also have 12.

Copy it by 30 degree each then press Clrt + D to duplicate with same space.

Here we got the 12 time signage.

Now draw a time pointer. Remember Red is for second, Gray is for Minutes and Black is for Hour.

Last one is make a top shadow shining inside the clock by drawing and give only 30% opacity.

Finally here the clock.

Pen tool focusing on how to draw a building using with Adobe Illustrator

Alright it might take a bit times to draw it. But if you imagine on how to draw it is really fast to do. Start up now open your Illustrator and those who like to draw in Photoshop. Yes it is possible to draw but for me I did in Illustrator.
Get you new document with size 10cm (W) and 15cm (H). Press P to start Pen tool. Draw like this

Then Gradient with yellow and orange

I start to draw the window so to make it easy and the same size style I did draw some line. You may do like this so in future it make us easy drawing.

Draw first window. Please try to follow the instruction step by step

make it as image.

Once you finish the first one then you can only copy this one and past to other windows.

Alright the windows is finished. Start to draw the door.

The same using old method to draw seems like copy and past. Look back to the result see how many door we have just draw it.

Draw a glass window.

Try to finish all doors.

Done for all windows and doors. Below is the roof top

at the same time of roof top we make other style for the side of building and front of building seems like foyer or wing.

Waaaaaaah it is time to draw a path (way)

And now you can take out the line which is drawn for drawing. See result.

How to create fashion girl light background

how to create a fashion light behind a sexy lady. It is very simple but if you are new to the this style don't worry I try to explain with my best to make you easily understand. Go to google home page and try to search for a fashion girl with black background or if you like you can download the above image from here.

The above image is the original image. To make the background all black, take you clone stamp tool or press S on your keyboard.

Then copy the black background by press Alt + left click (mouse) and stamp to the image of the girl. Try to make the image into this.

Then press M but use Elliptical Marquee tool make cycle and color on it. If you don't like to you can color it later. So in this tutorial I color it later. Mean I make it

Make a duplicate of this layer. Or you just press Clrl + J it will copy and create an new automatic layer. Then transform it by press Ctrl + T. Use your scroll arrow key to move it on a posible space. And start duplicate by press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T. Do like this your image is spacing guide good and straight. Then do the same as imaga below.

Do not merge all layer. You have to remember. Ok now give color to these layer.

Opp this time it might spend a bit time to make it nicer. Let's opecity all one by one untill it finish and after you finish it. Take someof the layer by giving some style.

And copy it to other layer as many as you like. See the result.

Drawing dog tags with Illustrator

Wow it is now seems like some thing new for me. How about you? Hey once again after you read this post don't forget to share to your friends and comment to me is a well support.
To start this you have to follow 7 steps in a easy way. See it how it processes:

Step 1: use the Rectangle tool to draw a black layer of the dog tag

Once you drawn it then straight away give a black color. Here we got

Step 2: Merge to make the cover. Use the same Rectangle tool and draw it 2 different layer. Then select both together and use your pathfinder dialog and press Excluded overlapping sharp areas and expend it.

So let's Gradient and give some drop shadow style. Done for step 2.

remember to put it one side. Step 1, Step 2 and more...
Step 3: Use your Pen tool (P) draw a layer as seen in image.

Copy your 1st layer and the same using pathfinder to work. Select this 2 again. Align it to be in the middle then press Subtract from sharp area to cut the joined together out then expand it.

Here we got after expand.

Press M draw a long line but not too big not too small

make a clipping mask. Before you do it make sure your black layer is on the top of the line layer. Then right click press Make Clipping Mask.

Result for clipping mask.

Step 4: do the same to step 3 but this time your line must smaller then.

Step 5: Press M draw it the same size of 1st step layer and gradient with image style.

Step 6: Copy this step 5 layer but give different Gradient style with below setting.

Now it is time to join all step together. See after 6 step

Cool one. It is almost finish. Ha aha this word I always say it at every post. He he.....
Step 7 : Press L to draw a cycle layer with with color and put it on the top of all layer.

In this step you have to make a star style in the middle of this tag. Apply it with some Gradient

Copy it make another small one with other Gradient reflection.

Ahhh the dog tag is appear but yet we have to add a string line. Now it is time for Pen tool to do it. Let's draw together.

Draw a cycle small one.

Make it into 2. Select is all then then Go to Object menu and scroll down to Blend and choose Blend option.
I do set it up as spacing: Specify steps 100 then ok.

Here it comes.

Alright just now you drawn a string right. Select the string and this blend mode. Go to Object menu again scroll down to Blend and choose Replace Spine. Then your string will replace with this cycle layer.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa looks it is very nice comment now. Do copy your dog tag and move it a bit down.

Here the final result.

Make a poster Ads with Illustrator

See the top poster how interest of it. Yes it is vey simple and easy if you are more undestanding on how to do it. Well from now I will show you step by step to do it and sure with my 100% details you will can do it.
Ready now!! Ok start up with your Illustrator and create a new document with size 10 cm by 10 cm.
Then draw a square using Rectangle Tool or press M and add a black color.

do the same but make it smaller and add white color

Make other small layer in this white. Select both layer big white and small white. And press Ctrl + Shift + F9 to show a parth finder. We are trying to make this two layer become one layer. After you had select this two go to the pathfinder select exclude overlapping Shape areas. See image below

Here layer after joined together.

Give a Gradient on it. Follow by the image.

See how it looks

Using the same method make it anothe small layer with the same Gradient. See it

Now seems to be finished. Yet you have to make new square

Use brush tool to have some cave.

Then draw it straight on the top of layer. Make it in all square face.

See it how it looks. Then using the pathfinder dialog.

draw a square with same size of the bottom black layer (first layer). Redraw a white square as seen in below image and merge together. Once you done it. Move it on the top of brush curve.

Ha the same again. Select select both layer and right click choose make clipping mask. Right away give it 50% opacity.

Rectangle Tool again ha ha. Draw a vertical inside this poster and give a Gradient as seen.

Make it in to 2 by hold Alt and draw it.

Duplicate this vertical style by press Clrt + D. Here we got

Wow just add some text to your promotional text.

Hey hey two more step to finish. Press Pen tool (P) and draw a ribbon and Gradient.

final drawing a black shadow behind this ribbon. Text a dead line of this promotion.

How to create Adobe Illustrator Logo In Adobe Illustrator

So far when I was start on how to use pen tool. I was very hard to make a logo. After a short while I got understand. I hope this tutorial will help some people who like me will enjoy it.

Let's go, use your pen tool now (P) draw a leave like this

Then add gradient style follow this image

Duplicate this leave into 3 pcs by using your way to do (Ctrl+D). But make sure you use the Rotate tool (R). It can help you to make your leave cycle.

Now you got it. Use your pen tool again to draw another leave. See image

By using the same gradient style but now you have to make it multiply on the Transparency tag to be seen the below layer.

Do again duplicate into 3.

Now the flower has create but yet to finish. Pen tool again (P) draw a small path in middle of the leave.

Color this path and make in middle of every leave. See it below

Use Ellipse tool (L) to draw a cycle in middle of all path and gradient it. Then go to the effect menu on the top add a layer style of outer glow. You can see the sequent of number this below image and try to follow. If you are not sure with this one please email me at chetsary@gmail.com

Ok it is about to finish just make a bit style. Group that flower together and make a copy. Reduce smaller a bit move to the right corner of the document.

Use Ractangle tool (M) and draw a square over that just a corner only. Select both (small flower and a square) then right click. Make clipping mask to take a piece of flower and opacity it lower like blur. And you will have that square piece.

make copy of that square piece and make it smaller like this.

Again press M to use rectangle tool and draw a small square using red color. We are now trying to draw Adobe logo.

press P to draw A sign.

After you did it. Give a with color without stroke. And add a text below as Adobe. Here you got the result.

Easy way to make a button design with Adobe Illustrator

To make a button now in Illustrator now just only 3 layer to do. Very easy but it is my style to do it. I think some body will have a better idea then me. Since you are on this page please try it up. Create new first, as what I did mention I like to size it in Centimeter (CM) because my country is mostly used. see image

Start on first layer

By press L to take the Ellipse Tool to draw a cycle. Make sure you have put in a stroke with side as you need. But in this I put 1 black stroke.

Add Gradient with black and silver.

Finish for the first layer

Let's go on to second layer by using a short cut on the keyboard. I think it can make your work faster. Press Ctrl + C to copy that first layer and Ctrl + F to make a new copy (second layer) stay on the top of the first layer. Make it small then the first one.

Then change the Gradient

Alright second layer also finish.

The final layer. Agian use Ellipse Tool (L) to draw and suddently give a Gradient.

here is the result.

Then you can add in some sign to make a nice button by using symbols. See below image

How to Create an arrow sign light animation in Adobe Photoshope

As my previous post like an animation also but it is on how to make a wording replacing like jumping and now I am going to show you on how to create a new animation arrow sign light. Now with this size W: 1772 pixels and H: 591 pixels with resolution 100 pixels.But before this you can diplay an animation box by go to windows ==> animation.

press U to use your custom sharp tool. Select the arrow sign and start make a arrow part and Clrt+Shift+Enter to make part into selection then Ctrl+Shift+N make a new layer and give a yellow color.

Press U again and use Ellipse Tool to draw a cycle. Do it the same as arrow part instruction. After you have make it as a new layer, give some color style but putting Gradient. Go to Layer =>Layer Style=>Gradient Overlay.

try to do it like below image.

Once you have finish these. Link all cycle just now together. Then make a copy of that link. Take one of the image of the copy link to give a Gradient.

Then copy that layer style (Gradient style) to all the link layer. Merge this new layer and put it on top of all layer. So the result gonna be like this

Hide it. I know you know where to hide. If not just look back to the layer panel see where and what layer you are on. Then select the eye sign. Once you hide it that layer also hide. At the same time hide the yellow arrow sign as well or you can delete it if you want.

Now refer back to the first link we drawn a cycle. Merge it again and Ctrl + J on it to make new layer. Do it 5 times and arrange it as image below.

duplicate your animation folder into 6 too this time we are making animation.

Look back to the last Gradient we did. Ok now select number 2 on the animation frames and unhite it. But you have to know that one animation frames is one arrow sign. Mean 6 animation frames so your arrow sign also 6. see the above image. Then when you are on 2nd animation frames you have to make the Gradient light on 2nd arrow too. see below

Do the same to the animation frome number 3. Select the animation frame 3 and duplicate the yellow light sign by press Ctrl + J and take it above arrow sign 3.

Just a small note: when you do an animation on layer 3 you have to hide the animation on layer 2. If you do on layer 4 you have to hide layer 3. I hope it is easy understand for you because my English is poor.

Do it all the same to all layer up to layer 6. Final you have to adjust time for animation running. Right click on animation frames start from 1st to 6th and select 0.5 sec for all. then play it. after all are ok then save it as GIF or press on you key board Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S and see the looping option select forever.

How to create vector magic hat in Photoshop

* style: Inner Bevel

* Technique: smooth

* Dept: 71%

* Size: 6%

* Soften: 6%

And add Gradient like image. I hope you can read the image.

Then here it is

Press U select Elepse Tool to draw a cycle and give some style like the old one just now I did.

Then copy that cycle layer by press Clt + J to make a new layer and transform it smaller put it on the top and edit the Gradient style. See image.

Now we got a black hat. Again use your pen tool to draw a small bat and copy your layer style.

And draw the 3 red cycle note. I think it won't hard to do that. I know you can because you know well about Photoshop.

Type text as vector magic and make it as a phrase then vertical . Go to filter choose distort and shear

hear the result after shear.

Duplicate this shear layer in to 2 and reflex it then give some outer glow.

* Blend mode: color dodge

* Opacity: 83%

* Technique: softer

* Size: 24

merge that together and duplicate again but this time give it a black color no outer glow and opacity only 30% make it small or bigger a bit to become a shadow.

new thing, draw some thing which is along the vector magic way and give some style.

Out glow

* Bleng mode: screen

* Opecity: 100%

* Color: white

* Technique: softer

* Size: 84

Color Overlay

* Blend mode: normal color is the same or similar to the vector magic phrass

* Opecity: 39

Then you will have you drawing like this image.

Move it into vector way. Then the color will appear.

Make some light by giving the same layer style at around that light as seen in image.

Copy and pass it around inside the hat. then your shine light will give a cool effect.

How do you feel now. It is almost finish. Add some brush light on it. Press B and go to brush setting. Set as the same or what you like.

Start brush now and you will have.

The final just make a black shadow on below all the layer. Here we got the result.

Create a poster with Adobe Photoshop

Create new document with size W: 1181 pixels H:1181 pixels and resolution is up to you as long that your computer goes fast for your design. for me I put 300 pixels.

when you got a new document then straight away give a black color background on it. Using this image to make it happen for your deign.

if you like your image you also can do that. Now start write some wording on the black background and do the same like me.

I understand that my image is hardly to see but to make you more understanding you have to type your own word as a phrase and make it full of your black background in different color like what you have seen. Make sure all wording is merged together become one layer. Then start take the image above all layer.

using your pen tool to draw mouth and copy that mouth into new layer by press Clt+J

Then move the image down below all layer.

Final just type text and make it like image.

How to create 3D Puzzle in Photoshop

This time I don't write alot because I am not an English speaking. Well forgot to let you know where I am from. Cambodia is my country. Peace and hopefull. My name Sary. I am trying to write this tutorial to you but not to say I know well cos I also learned from other friends and website. I think it is time to start I will try to use more image for you to understand.

Let's start with a new document in black background size up to you but I use 10 cm x 10 cm. Then press U on your keyboard. IT will take you to get a path as you seen on image. You can draw your own if you can or use other path as you like. This is a simple and sample way for you but for me I draw it my own. It is easy.

I draw it like this and color it in red. I also add in some layer style in it like Bevel and Emboss and Gradient Overlay. You will notice one my path there is light red and dark red. Yes it is my Gradient Overlay.

Finished this one just thinking on how to make it square. Well I dupblicated this into 4 different layers and color as seen now.

I am still remind you if you want to play with your color you can do it from there because when you go to next step it might make more effected to your design. As what I said this step you have to merge all this layer together. By select all layer and press Clt + E or you can go to the layer menu and select merge layers. Now here we got after merge.

Next transform the merge layer or Clt + T and right click on that transform select skew make the image as what you see on the image.

Ok now you got it and it is almost finish us a few step more. Now you have finish the 3D drawing and give it Gradient Overlay with Bevel and Emboss on it a bit. It should look like what you have seen. Then merge all togher again. Totally since you start we have only one layer which is already merge. Dublicate again that layer and scrool it down abit to make as a reflection.

And make it a shadow in the middle. Do it like I am it will me you easy to uderstand. Just load your layer selection and cut the selection like this.

and Clt + Shift + N to make a new layer. Then give a black color on it make it blur abit you will have.

Move it down in the middle of the layer and type 3D Puzzle below that layer then you will have the result.

How to create animation jumping wording in Photoshop

Well every one are there I would say this is my first post to this blog. Sure I won't copy from other but I have learn from them. See my animation here Thanks to all my friends which is support me. And now I am going to share my idea on How to make the animation with photoshop either you want to use old vison or CS2, CS3 and CS4 but you might easy undestand with my full explaination.

Start now
Step 1: Create a new layer with size: W:10 cm and H: 5 cm why I use cm here because my country hardly to used pixel and inches.

Then you will have a new document as what you have created.
Step 2: use your Horizontal Type Tool (T) to type some wording on your document. What ever you like for me use my word such as FREE SPACE ADS and color it in red see the image below.

Step 3: Duplicate this wording layer in to 4 layers and color it in different type I use Red, Blue, Green and Pink and hide it by click the eye of top layer.

Step 4: now it is time to make a animation. Let's see on the top of menu click on Meny=>animation

Then start to create the job now. Ok we got this

Step 5: click on duplicate selected frames on the animation box as shown and unhidden the blow wording which is the 2nd layer.

do like this until you finish the 4 wording of the 4th layer with all 4 coloring. But make sure when you duplicate the select frames you have to unhidden one by one can not unhide it the same time. It can but it might make you confusing and redo and waist your time.

Step 6: After all we will have all layer and animation frames like this.

the animation is almost finish only one more step. So what is that? Yes just arrange the time for running only. Now just click on the animation frames where you will see the time select on it. For me I use only 0.2 second but if you like you can use late then this.

Final step: just save it by select file menu and save for web & devices or you can use a short cut like Ctl + Atl + Shitf + S and when the dialogue comes you have to adjust your saving by make it forever running. See the image.

Try to duplicate the above object until you get this and make sure you give different color like in a club because will are trying to make a disco ball. Then make another object by copy again. See below image

Once every object is done. Drag to the Symbols tab and leave it one side.

2. Create a 3D sphere

Let make this object into 3D. Select it and go to Effect menu ==> 3D ==> Revolve then 3D dialogue is appeared.

Press Map Art and one the symbol type select an object which we had drag to symbol (just remember that: your 3D object must smaller then symbol). Try to find the face of it in surface.

and now you get the ball. Give background in black and start making a light star.

Try to past it in some part of the ball. And last one do same thing but make only lighting without star in the middle of ball.
